中国西南天文研究所举办2026级新生欢迎会暨中秋·国庆晚会
SWIFAR Welcomes the 2026 Graduate Cohort and Celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day
金秋送爽，丹桂飘香。2026年秋季学期开启之际，云南大学中国西南天文研究所迎来了一批怀揣天文梦想的研究生新同学。值此中秋与国庆双节同庆之时，研究所于9月29日19时在天文楼报告厅举行2026级新生欢迎会暨中秋·国庆晚会。
活动伊始，研究所所长刘晓为教授致辞，向新入学的同学们表达了诚挚的欢迎，勉励大家在科研道路上脚踏实地、勇攀高峰，并向全所师生送上节日的问候与美好祝愿。紧接着，18名2026级研究生新生依次亮相，结合精心准备的自我介绍，畅谈求学经历、分享兴趣特长，充分展现了新一代天文人的蓬勃朝气与多元风采。活动中，研究所还对2025学年成绩突出、表现优异的学生进行了表彰并颁发荣誉证书，以肯定他们的勤勉付出与突出成果。联欢环节将现场气氛推向高潮，全所同学精心编排了形式多样的文艺节目，并组织了妙趣横生的互动游戏，师生欢聚一堂，留下了温馨而难忘的回忆。
新鲜血液的注入为研究所带来了蓬勃生机，壮大了科研后备力量，优化了人才梯队结构。站在新的起点上，云南大学中国西南天文研究所全体师生将携手并进，在科研与育人的征程上续写新篇章、再创新辉煌。
The golden autumn brings refreshing breezes, and the sweet fragrance of osmanthus fills the air. As the 2026 autumn semester begins, the South-Western Institute for Astronomy Research (SWIFAR) at Yunnan University welcomed a new cohort of graduate students who cherish dreams of astronomy. On the occasion of the joint celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, SWIFAR held the 2026 New Student Welcome Ceremony and Mid-Autumn &National Day Gala at 19:00 on September 29 in the lecture hall of the Astronomy Building.
At the start of the event, Professor Xiaowei Liu, Director of SWIFAR, delivered a speech, extending a sincere welcome to the newly enrolled students, encouraging everyone to take solid steps on the path of scientific research and bravely scale new heights, and conveying festive greetings and best wishes to all faculty and students of SWIFAR. Immediately afterward, 18 new graduate students of the 2026 cohort appeared on stage one by one and, with carefully prepared self-introductions, talked about their academic experiences and shared their interests and strengths, fully demonstrating the vitality and diverse talents of the new generation of astronomers. During the event, SWIFAR also commended students with outstanding achievements and excellent performance in the 2025 academic year and presented them with certificates of honor, recognizing their diligence and outstanding accomplishments. The festive celebration segment created a lively atmosphere, as students across SWIFAR carefully arranged a variety of artistic performances and organized lively interactive games; faculty and students gathered together and left behind warm and unforgettable memories.
The arrival of new students has brought vigorous vitality to SWIFAR, strengthened its reserve force for scientific research, and optimized the structure of its talent pipeline. Standing at a new starting point, all faculty and students of SWIFAR at Yunnan University will move forward hand in hand and continue to write new chapters and continue to advance astronomical research and graduate education.
