第五届云南大学天文学优秀大学生暑期夏令营顺利举行

The 5th Summer Camp in Astronomy of Yunnan University Held

      2026年7月17至19日，第五届云南大学天文学优秀大学生暑期夏令营在呈贡校区天文楼举行。来自云南大学、澳大利亚国立大学、南京大学、长江大学、河南师范大学、河北工业大学、西华师范大学、齐鲁师范学院等多所高校的30余名学员参加了此次夏令营。

      开幕式上，云南大学中国西南天文研究所（简称研究所）副所长杨元培副教授对云南大学天文学的学科发展以及1.6米多通道测光（梦飞）巡天望远镜做了简要介绍。活动期间，刘德子副研究员、王仲翔教授、杨元培副教授、林伟康副研究员、爱德华多·拉焦亚副研究员、方圆副研究员以及钟诗言副研究员分别就望远镜与天文观测、活动星系核、高能和时域天文学、恒星与恒星团、天文学与人工智能、潮汐瓦解事件等优势学科方向作了精彩的学术讲座，备受学员欢迎。研究所高栋林和金奕澄两位博士生分享了研究生课题和研究经验。夏令营第一天晚上，钱声帮教授带领学员参观了云南大学云山天文台及一米望远镜，对望远镜观测技术和相关科学问题进行了细致讲解。夏令营第二天晚上，王涛博士带领学员远程观摩了梦飞巡天望远镜观测演示。在随后的座谈会上，部分在读研究生向学员们分享了各自在云南大学学习、科研等经历。杨元培副教授、林伟康副研究员、爱德华多·拉焦亚副研究员为学员传授了天文学的学习经验、回答了有关梦飞巡天望远镜等方面的问题。

      通过学术报告、天文台参观、远程观摩和经验分享等丰富多样的活动，学员们进一步了解了云南大学天文学科的发展特色、科研方向及科研平台，并通过与专家学者和在读研究生的交流，增进了对天文学学习与科研的认识。此次夏令营加深了学员们对云南大学天文学科的了解，激发了他们对天文学研究的兴趣，也为有志于从事天文学研究的优秀大学生提供了深入了解云南大学、交流学术思想的良好机会。

    

    

    The fifth summer camp for excellent undergraduate students in astronomy was held from 17th to 19th, July 2026 at the Chenggong campus, Yunnan University. More than 30 students attended this summer camp, who are from Yunnan University, Australian National    University, Nanjing University, Yangtze University, Henan Normal University, Hebei University of Technology,West China Normal University, Qilu Normal University and so on.

    At the opening session, Associate Professor Yuanpei Yang, the Deputy  Director of SWIFAR at Yunnan University, gave an introduction to the discipline development of astronomy at Yunnan University and great potential for the 1.6-meter Multi-channel Photometric Survey Telescope (Mephisto). During the camp, Drs. Dezi Liu, Zhongxiang Wang, Yuanpei Yang, Weikang Lin, Edoardo Lagioia, Yuan Fang and Shiyan Zhong gave lectures on the topics of telescopes and astronomical observation, active galactic nuclei, high-energy and time-domain astronomy, stellar and clusters, astronomy and artificial intelligence, and tidal disruption event, respectively. These lectures were very well received stimulating many questions from the students. Two PhD candidates, Donglin Gao and Yicheng Jin, shared their research topics and research experiences with the camp students. On the first night of the summer camp, Prof. Shengbang Qian led the students to visit the Yunshan Observatory and one-meter telescope and gave a detailed explanation of telescope technology and the scientific issues. On the second night of the summer camp, Dr. Tao Wang led the camp students to show the remote observation of the Mephisto telescope. In the following interaction session, a number of graduate students at Yunnan University shared their campus life and research experiences. Drs. Yuanpei Yang, Weikang Lin, Edoardo Lagioia, etc. answered questions from the students and provided encouraging suggestions on graduate study and research.

    Through a variety of activities, including academic talks, observatory visits, remote observing demonstrations, and experience-sharing sessions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the distinctive strengths, research directions, and research facilities of astronomy at Yunnan University. Exchanges with faculty members and current graduate students further enhanced their understanding of studying astronomy and conducting research. The summer camp not only deepened participants’ understanding of astronomy at Yunnan University and stimulated their interest in astronomical research, but also provided an excellent opportunity for aspiring young astronomers to learn more about Yunnan University and exchange academic ideas.
