中国西南天文研究所举办新生欢迎会暨2026年元旦晚会

Welcome Ceremony and 2026 New Year’s Gala Held at SWIFAR

      辞旧迎新之际，中国西南天文研究所于2025年12月30日晚6点在天文楼报告厅举办了2025级研究生迎新晚会暨2026年元旦晚会。

      晚会伊始，研究所所长刘晓为教授致开幕辞,对26位硕博新生的加入表示热烈欢迎，殷切希望同学们能够在浓厚的国际化学术氛围中，积极进取，学有所成。刘老师回顾了研究所2025年重要的科研进展，对全体师生的辛勤付出表示感谢，其中梦飞巡天望远镜全系统安装完成并通过专家验收，成为研究所重大科研平台建设的重要里程碑。

      随后，2025级新生逐一自我介绍，分享了各自的兴趣爱好与学术憧憬，展现了新一代天文人的风采。研究所为2024年优秀研究生颁发了荣誉证书，以表彰他们在科研、参与学术活动和平台建设等方面的出色表现。后续伴随着激动人心的抽奖环节、青春活力的文艺表演、趣味十足的游戏活动，晚会步入了高潮，全体师生在欢声笑语中拉近了距离。

      本次活动不仅增强了新生对研究所的归属感，也为中国西南天文研究所2026年的新征程开启了美好篇章！

 

 

   

    On the occasion of bidding farewell to the year of 2025 and entering 2026, SWIFAR held a ceremony to welcome the new students along with a party to celebrate the New Year of 2026 at the astronomy building auditorium hall on December 30, 2025.

    The event began with an opening speech by Prof. Xiaowei Liu, director of SWIFAR. He extended a warm welcome to the 26 new students and expressed his sincere wishes and expectations for them to have fruitful years at SWIFAR. He also gave a brief overview about the important achievements of SWIFAR in 2025 and expressed his gratitude to all faculty and students for their great efforts realizing our goals of excellency. The successful installation of the full system marked an important milestone of the Mephisto telescope, which has received high compliments from the experts during the technical evaluations.

    Then the new students introduced themselves one by one, sharing their personal interests and academic aspirations. SWIFAR also presented certificates of honor to the outstanding graduate students to recognize their achievements in 2024. With the exciting games and performances afterwards, the party was fully enjoyable and giving us the momentum of moving forward in 2026.
