云南大学第二届东陆天体物理论坛召

The 2nd Donglu Astrophysics Forum Held at SWIFAR

        2022年8月31日-9月2日，第二届东陆天体物理论坛在云南大学呈贡校区天文楼报告厅成功召开，线上同步进行。来自清华大学、北京大学、中国科学院国家天文台、紫金山天文台、上海天文台、北京师范大学、澳大利亚国立大学、美国加州理工大学、美国加州大学伯克利分校、美国德州大学、英国牛津大学、日本国家天文台等国内外43个科研机构和高等院校的近200位专家学者参加了此次论坛, 学术报告共52个。云南大学物理天文学院张力教授主持开幕式，云南大学中国西南天文研究所所长刘晓为教授致欢迎辞。

        此次论坛以“大规模巡天时代下的银河系和宇宙学”为主题。与会专家学者介绍了国内外在建和未来的大视场测光和时域巡天项目，并就相关天文数据处理方法、银河系结构、宇宙变源和银河系变源等前沿科学问题进行了交流，为Mephisto巡天策略及科学研究建言献策。

        此次论坛系云南大学中国西南天文研究所建所5周年活动之一。论坛的召开进一步促进了研究所与国内外其他天文单位的合作，为开展Mephisto相关科研合作奠定了基础。

 

 

 

    From August 31 to September 2, 2022, the second YNU Donglu Astrophysics Forum was held in a hybrid form of both online and offline at the auditorium of Astronomy Building of Yunnan University. About 200 researchers and students from 43 international and domestic institutes and universities participated the conference, and contributed in total 52 presentations. Prof. Xiaowei Liu, the director of SWIFAR, delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony, chaired by Professor Li Zhang, the former vice president of YNU.

    The theme of this forum is Milky Way and Cosmology in the Era of Wide Field Surveys. The speakers introduced ongoing and upcoming large surveys, discussed data processing methodology and techniques, and presented frontier research on Galactic studies, galaxy evolution, and variables and transients.

    This forum was one of the activities marking the fifth anniversary of the establishment of SWIFAR. Its success further enhanced and solidified our collaborations with other national and international institutes to push forward the scientific studies with the upcoming Mephisto.
