Abstract:
Tidal streams originating from star clusters preserve the dynamical evolution history of their host clusters as well as the influences from the galactic environment. By implementing the Galpy and AGAMA modules within the PeTar code, we can simultaneously simulate star cluster evolution under a time-dependent Galactic tidal field. We have applied our framework to study the young open star cluster Hyades, stellar stream Meingast I, and old globular clusters Palomar 5 and C-19. Our results show that the properties of tidal streams can serve as important indicators of the formation conditions of their host clusters, offering constraints on the massive star formation, the presence of black holes, the formation of multiple stellar populations, the occurrence of gas expulsion and the property of Galactic potential.
