Abstract:
The Chinese Space Station Telescope (CSST) and other international surveys make it fitting to reconsider previously ignored relativistic effects in the dynamics of galaxies. Here I will show how such effects allow observers to measure directly the gravitational potentials and proper motions of galaxies and clusters, and argue why these new and direct measurements could be routinely made with future large instruments.
