EUV Spectroscopic Observations and Numerical Simulations of Stellar Coronal Mass Ejection

Abstract: 

Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) from hosting stars are thought to be one of the key factors influencing the habitability of their orbiting planets. However, stellar systems are generally too distant to allow spatial resolution of stellar CMEs with current instruments. To address this challenge, our goal has been to identify CME signatures in Sun-as-a-star spectra and use those insights for understanding the spectroscopic signatures of stellar CMEs.
