Abstract:
Following the hints of dynamic dark energy from DESI, 21cm intensity mapping stands out as a promising and complementary probe for further understanding the evolution of our universe. However, despite decades of development, this technique still faces significant challenges from foreground contamination and other systematics. While improving foreground removal techniques remains important, foreground avoidance has emerged as a practical alternative. Yet, due to the long-baseline configuration of arrays like SKA, extracting cosmological information from small-scale HI fluctuations becomes challenging. In this talk, I will discuss our ongoing efforts to overcome these challenges and advance toward robust cosmological measurements with 21cm intensity mapping.
