Progress in Neutral Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Surveys of the Nearby Universe
Speaker: Yougang Wang (NAOC)
Venue: SWIFAR Building 2111
Time: 16:00 PM, Thursday, Mar. 12, 2026
Abstract:
Neutral hydrogen intensity mapping offers a unique window into the universe's evolutionary history, from the dark ages through reionization to the present day. This presentation will summarize the recent progress being made in this rapidly evolving field. I will specifically focus on the preliminary results on our latest research progress using the Tianlai array and FAST. The talk will cover our data analysis pipeline, current challenges in foregroud removing, and our roadmap towards a high-significance detection of the HI power spectrum.
