Abstract:
Epoch of reioinization (EoR) is one of the final frontiers in the history of the Universe. The 21 cm emission due to hyperfine structure in neutral hydrogen atom is a promising tool to study EoR. Although we have yet to detect the 21cm signal, we expect that upcoming radio telescope targeting to detect 21cm signal, such as SKA, brings us fruitful information on the EoR. As a method to extract information from the 21cm signal, we focus on the artificial neural networks (ANN), which is one of the machine learning techniques. As works related to 21cm signal analysis with the ANN, we pick up following two works in this talk. (i) EoR parameter estimation using 21cm power spectrum. (ii) Recovering HII bubble size distribution from 21cm power spectrum.
